The Foundation of Fine Arts and Music V. & M. Theocharakis, announced an art competition entitled “GRE-Taste: The taste of Greece”, which was implemented in the framework of the RESEARCH – CREATE – INNOVATE Action by the European Co-Funded Development ) of the European Union and national resources through the OP Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship & Innovation (EPANEK) (project code: T1EDK-02015).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The turnout was very high. The contestants were students, graduates of Fine Arts schools or experienced artists. They were asked to consider the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
the special gastronomic tradition of Central and Eastern Macedonia and Thrace
the special character of Greek gastronomy
the Greek traditions in the art of the table (art de la table)
European and international modern gastronomy
The jury that examined the works consisted of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1) Praxitelis Tzanoulinos, sculptor
2) Erietta Bordoni, painter
3) Christina Petrinou, art historian
4) Tatiana Spinari, art historian
5) Takis Mavrotas, critic and theoretical artist<\/p>\n\n\n\n
